Kaycee Swierc (she/her) is a director, producer, and artistic collaborator.
Currently, Kaycee is pursuing her MFA in Directing at Carnegie Mellon University (Class of 2026 - John Wells Fellow). The CMU Drama Program is ranked #4 in the world by the Hollywood Reporter and recognized as a new Ivy League by Forbes. Her work includes Co-Op Wars (Workshop Director), Much Ado About Nothing (American Players Assistant Director), and Gloria (Carnegie Mellon School of Drama Director).
Previously, Kaycee was the Special Assistant to the Artistic Director (Diane Paulus) and Executive Team at the American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University. During her tenure at A.R.T., she assistant directed the Tony Award-winning "Jagged Little Pill" on Broadway and its North American tour, as well as "WILD" at A.R.T. She also contributed to several other productions, including "1776," "Waitress," and "Becoming a Man."
Kaycee's directing credits include "Beheading Columbus," "The Bowels," "Webster’s Bitch," and "Timebomb" at the National Women’s Theater Festival, "Almost, Maine" at Texas State University, "The Vagina Monologues" with Queer Theater Texas, and "Cabaret" as Assistant Director at Texas State University. She also served as a season casting director and producer at the National Women’s Theater Festival, overseeing more than 50 plays. In 2020, Kaycee produced several virtual fundraiser cabarets to amplify historically marginalized voices and support social justice causes, including Georgia Stand Up, Black Lives Matter, the National Organization for Women, and Arts for Biden/Harris. Kaycee holds a BFA in Acting from Texas State University's Theater Program, ranked #25 in the world by the Hollywood Reporter.
